Art journalling .......... LOL!!

Now I love art, I used to paint alot before I got into crafting and eventually Tando!!

I've been intrigued by art journalling for some time and admire many peeps work.  As I'm full of cold and feeling pretty yucky I felt like curling up on the sofa last night and doing very little.  Now I'm no TV watcher so I decided to grab a couple of sheets of A4..ish paper and some paints and have a little dabble.

The art bit I can get, the journalling bit I can't.  I could of said lots of things about the journey of life and how you never know which path to take etc etc but I somehow couldn't get that down on the paper.

Anyhoo, my rather feeble attempt is below, I rather like the boots, I fancy a pair myself  LOL!  I thoroughly enjoyed painting a picture rather than painting a bit of chippie for a change and I think I will paint again whenever I can but I'm not sure about the journalling bit ha ha!!

Oooo Di you've done a fab job. You don't need to write lots - the follow your dreams is all you need. I think you need to do more of this to relax you.
Hope you feel less manky soon xxx

Di you are a talented artist. I had to look twice at those boots as I thought they were an image cut from a magazine but no you painted them!!!! Fantastic. The journalling part will come and doesn't have to be deep and meaningful (well that is what I think anyway) x

:)

ps wish you better.

Wow you are good at that painting. I find it hard to journal anything that I really mean, but you have to work at it, just like anything if you want to learn. That's why the prompts are good, they make you think about stuff.

wow Di what a fab painting - I, like Tracey, thought that those boots were a mag image!

I understand why Tando is such fab stuff now!!

Hope you're feeling much better today xx

WOW! Di your pages are amazing.. the snow on the boots looks real!
One idea you could try is a little journal spilling.. where you spend 5 or 10 minutes sitting calmly!! & write what ever comes to mind.. you can then paint or Gesso over your words & use that as a base for the next step. Have fun! can't wait to see more...xx

Beautiful artwork. I am like you, find it hard to get the words down and more often than not don't. Annette
