More Chrimbo piccies

Sorting through the many that I have taken, I love my Santa, Sleigh and reindeer ornament, it's one of my favourites.

It's a shame Christmas is over, it's now New Years Eve and we are not big on celebrating the New Year so I will wish you all the very best for 2008. I hope things will turn out how you would like and all goes well for you.

And one of us two happy peeps on Christmas Day....awwww bless!!!

Jess

We've just got back from bro's in Cornwall and I met my nieces 5 month old puppy Jess for the first time.

She is such a little sweetheart and very well behaved. I've taken loads of photos of her but I particularly like this one.

By the way, bro loved his album and my niece loved her canvasses (seen in previous posts). My niece also loved another prezzie I gave her.....watch this space for that one!!!

Well it's Christmas Eve at last!

I adore Christmas, it is my favourite time of year and my preparations start in ernest in September. December is a fabulous month, putting up the decorations, wrapping the presents...the whole month is filled with happy things to do.

I have now virtually finished all my preparations and, as last year, wish I had done more. I guess I may need to start in July next year LOL!

Here is another gift I have made, it is my brothers album. It took a long time to do but I really like the finished article.

Have a wonderful Christmas lovelies xx

A canvas or two!

Been busy making presents....as you do and I made a couple of hinged canvases for my niece. I've done canvases before but never hinged ones and I have to admit I rather like the idea that you don't hang them, you can just have them sitting on a shelf somewhere.

They are both family orientated with some sentimental quotes, I just hope she likes them!

Here they are:

I've done more arty things but not photographed them yet....hopefully update soon....and yes, I'm amazed too, I've actually blogged again!!!!

Nearly Christmas

Woo Hoo, nearly there now.

Finished work today for nearly 2 weeks........bliss!!!!

I didn't make any cards this year, tut tut but I did make one for my mum!

I've made a couple of prezzies too that I'll try and photograph over the weekend and pop on here.

Ciao for now peeps.

Been a while......!!

Yup, it has since I've blogged.

New Years Resolution....I will blog every week!!! We'll wait and see.

Anyway, creativity coming up, here is the December kit done for Bubbly Funk, it is a birthday book, something I think I could do with but this one is winging its way to my mum for Christmas amongst other things.

Other things to see.....hmmmm, well, there is my Chrimbo tree

Very tired now though as I've had a cold from hell, so thats it for now folks.....take care.

Morning walks

We've been on some great walks while we've been looking after Adam, our friends dog. We normally go out just as it's getting light and some of the sunrises have been stunning.

One morning we were very lucky to come across some deer, it was very misty so they were difficult to shoot. The ISO was set quite high to capture them so the shot is a bit grainy but it was great to see them.

Sorted, for now......!

Been having some real problems with the computers just lately and as I'm not at all technically minded I was getting a tad frustrated.

Finally I called in a "man that can" and I think we have lift off. I've even got the laptop wirelessly set up for the internet so I can browse downstairs.....bliss!

Fingers crossed everything will remain working how it should do!

As I can now pop on here while I'm downstairs I'm hoping that I might even be able to keep my blog a little more up to date.

Last month I joined in with a Circle Journal on Bubbly Funk and I picked the theme Celebrations. I love celebrations of all sorts so it will be great to have a CJ full of all kinds!

Here's my cover, intro page and entry.

Bit more digi stuff

Ok, I need more hours please.......does anyone sell any cos time is just disappearing. I hardly get a chance to update my blog and I have lots of things to put on here.....oh well never mind.

I'm enjoying doing this digi stuff, I don't have to sit at my work computer to do it so I can settle downstairs on the laptop. I sometimes need a change of scenery, I seem to only ever see the inside of my office LOL!

I'm also absolutely pants at planning pages and digi scrapping is a fantastic way to see how a layout will turn out before I do the same with paper.

Here's another I've done using the fabby freebie from Shabby Princess

Tagged

As usual I haven't blogged in ages....sorry peeps, just too busy at the mo. Anyway I've been tagged by the lovely Rosie

1. If you could have £100 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose? Oooh, I think embellishments would be fab, I find I can pick papers quite easily but I struggle when it comes to embellies so I'd love the challenge of spending £100.00 on them

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose? Stamps definately, I have a reasonable amount of them and I love using them especially the alphas.

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do? Definately layouts, I'm not a fan of making cards. I love making mini books for people because they will actually keep them, cards tend to end up in the bin.

4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home...(can't have both he he he) Scrapping room at home without a doubt. I have to use my office at home so I feel I never go anywhere else in the house, also I have to keep the office tidy. If I had my own scrapping room it could be as messy at I wanted mwahahahahaha!

5. And last but not least, what is your CURRENT cardmaking or scrapping style. I haven't got a style, never have done, most of the stuff I make is not really cardmaking or scrapping, can't really describe it really....LOL! Anyway, if I have to choose a fave style it would be grungy, inky and messy.

Bubbly Funk October Kit

Poor Caroline, the blasted post delayed the stamps for the October kit so it's a bit late being released but ho hum, it's on it's way peeps.

Here is the chest I designed for it. I did have 3 attempts at this before I got it right but I was really chuffed with the end result.

Doin' it digi

Just started this fab course with Kirsty and here is my first attempt at Digi Scrapping.

Yeah, yeah, I know, got a long way to go LOL, but I'll work on it. I'm so keen to learn as much as I can about Photoshop Elements and this course will be fab.

Oops, not blogged in a while.

Hi Peeps

Had a week off work last week, we went to Longleat and down to the South West, near and into Torquay.

I've taken shed loads of photos but I've been so busy I've not managed to sort them out yet. Work during the day, cutting and sticking in the evening and sorting photos on the laptop when I go to bed.....hmmmmm, notice there is no housework mentioned there!!!! Yup, you've guessed it.....it needs doing!!

Anyway, I'll pop some pics on here when I get a minute. In the meantime the Bubbly Funk September kit has been released and here it is:

I made the final 10 with one of my shots on Cheryl's Painting With Light Course again........I'm grinning from ear to ear! Here's the shot.

Right, onward.....hopefully get some more stuff on here soon.

Went to Portsmouth today

Had a fab day today, we decided to pop down to Portsmouth for a couple of hours. Of course I had camera in hand as per usual and got a couple of shots of the Spinaker Tower. A well photographed subject but I was pleased with these.

Then, we were really lucky because the Ark Royal was leaving Portsmouth too. It had got a bit overcast by then so I turned the shot mono but I was chuffed with this one.

Anyway we drove inland again and the weather brightened right up for a glorious Indian Summers day.

That's it for now peeps.

Where they live swap

We recently had a swap on Bubbly Funk where 10 of us did a double layout, 6" x 6" of the area where we live.

It was very time consuming to do but the end result was fantastic. I haven't photographed the pages but I did decorate the front and back covers to make them into a little album.....here it is.

Front Cover

Back Cover

Soon I will be uploading some more instructions onto my much neglected "Make Me" Blog, ironic that as soon as I created it work went ballistic but there you go eh!

Oooh and a bit more news, I popped an entry in the UKS photo comp in August and got selected for the final 20 (the green guitar player I posted on here a while ago).....and one of the photos I uploaded for Cheryls Painting with Light course has also been selected as one of the 10 images of the week - it was the close up aeroplane one I posted last week! I am gobsmacked to say the least, there were so many fantastic entries I would never have dreamed of making the final 10.

Anyway catch you later luvlies.

Made my first Christmas Prezzie

I know my mum doesn't read my blog so I can show you this. It's my first Altered Lunch Tin and I'm actually chuffed to bits with it. So simple too, I might do a few more now.....peeps are going to get prezzies that don't normally get prezzies ha ha ha!

I'm going to fill it with little prezzies for her to open too and then she can keep whatever she wants in it afterwards.

Big fanks to Caroline for the Rockin' Girl Blogger Banner...it's on the right, I was going to nominate some peeps too but so far I can't find any that haven't got the banner already LOL!

Been a bit more positive about work this week, mind you, it's only Tuesday morning! If I get another good day in today then I'll be on a roll eh!!

Right, stuff to do, hopefully more creativity coming soon!

Thursday, August 30, 2007

Ok, ok, it's been a week......

....since I've blogged.

Nothing exciting has happened, although I am another year older....eek! I've managed the first week of my photography course but apparently we can't discuss it on blogs and stuff which is fair enough so I'll just have to keep you guessing.

Here's a selection of shots, some of which are to do with the course and some are not.....ha ha ha!

Oooooooo.......more cards!!!!!!

Perhaps I'm turning into a secret card maker eh! Yup Kathy, you might be right....I might even do a dare!!!

Started the Painting with light course this week and I had to take a self portrait, pretty damn awful actually but I'd already taken loads and didn't like any of them, I guess it was the best of a bad lot......so bad though I'm not going to put it on here mwhahahahahahahaha!!!!

Our first assignment is tomorrow and I can't wait.

Nothing else exciting going on, still fed up with work but nothing new there, I would just love to be able to do something more creative. Tony has persuaded me to keep my pecker up though and get on with it LOL! There are lots of advantages - working from home, good money etc but I guess satisfaction counts for alot doesn't it!

Anyways, onwards and upwards......catch you soon lovelies.

I've made a card!!

Strange but true! It's my aunts 80th next week so I made a card for her.

And.....you'll never guess.....I'm making another card at the mo for my father in law's birthday. I'm quite enjoying it actually.

I think the thing that put me off making cards was all the work that went into them and then they'd just end up in the bin, a bit demoralising really! Anyways, more soon!

Bubbly Funk August Kit

Well the August Kit has been released today so go check it out here. I really enjoyed making this one, I have seen similar shaped books around but never any instructions so I had a go and managed to put this together.

Anyway, other news......erm......enjoying some creative time at the mo, I'm even making a birthday card right now!! I've also signed up for the next Painting with Light photography course, check out Cheryl's site here for details. I am seriously into photography now and I really want to improve so I thought I'd give this a go.

Right, must toodle on, hopefully catch you soon peeps.

Remembered something....

....I made a while back peeps.

This is a little maze book I made for my sisters hubby's family. They came over to visit from Australia and one of the family is terminally ill. It was the last time the England based half of the family would see her.

I had to make this very quickly but they loved it so that was good.

We went out to see a band last night, they are based in Hampshire but they do a special annual gig for us each August. I was practising taking some low light shots and this is my fave.

Right, that's me done, catch you later!
