Ella's Box

I was asked to make a memory box by my sister....hi Sue...*waves*. Sue's daughter Vicki had a little girl in January 2008 and Sue wanted to give Vicki a memory box and a mini book for photos and keepsakes of Ella's first year.

I have done quite a bit to the mini book but it's not finished yet but the box is....well all except the lining on the inside.

It's been made from scratch using mountboard so it's pretty sturdy. The brass handle came from Wilkos and it just screwed on to the mountboard in the normal way.

Edited to add (cos peeps asked), the box is 8" x 8" x 4" deep :-)

Here is the box:

As soon as the mini book is done I'll post up some piccies.

Catch you all soon x

Di....that's INCREDIBLE! The paper looks just like a piece of precious antique linen. I love how you have looped the flowers through the letters. Lovely. xx

Well done Di and made from scratch too. You clever woman. :)

That really is something to treasure Di. I love the contrast between the white broderie anglais on the box and distressed paper on the lid.
